What are transit bolts and why are they important?
Transit bolts are heavy-duty fasteners installed at the back of your washing machine to keep the drum locked in place during transportation. Their purpose is to prevent the drum from swinging freely and damaging the machine’s internal components.

If the transit bolts are not removed before first use, the machine will not operate correctly. You may notice excessive vibration, loud knocking sounds, or even the machine moving across the room. Continued use in this condition will damage the washing machine and void the warranty.

How to Remove Transit Bolts

  1. Locate the bolts - There are typically four bolts on the back of the unit securing the drum.

  2. Loosen and remove - Use a spanner to loosen and completely remove the bolts.

  3. Insert covers - Place the supplied hole plugs into the open bolt holes.

  4. Store the bolts safely - Keep the bolts in a secure place so they can be refitted if the unit needs to be moved in the future.

Important: If the washing machine is transported without transit bolts reinstalled, this may also void your warranty.image

Next Steps if Issues Persist

If your washing machine continues to vibrate excessively or “jump around” after removing the transit bolts, please Contact Us.
To help us assess the situation quickly, provide the following:

  • Serial number of the washing machine (inside the door frame).

  • Description of the fault (e.g., vibration, noise, error codes).

  • Clear photos of the installation, including the drain hose and power connection.

  • A photo of the back of the machine, so we can confirm that all transit bolts have been removed.

Once we receive this information, our team will guide you on the next steps or arrange for service if required.
