If you are having issues with the enamel on the bottom of your oven wearing away (which can almost look as if it has been scratched off) this is caused by foreign items such as aluminum foil being placed on the bottom of the oven.
The bottom of the oven is equipped with a heating tube to keep the oven hot, this cannot have anything placed on it, including foil, matts or dishes (AS PER THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL). When something is placed on the bottom of the oven the heat is not dissipated correctly which causes damage to the enamel layer, unfortunately once severe damage is done this cannot be repaired.
