The EL01 error code on a Midea heat pump typically indicates a communication error between the indoor and outdoor units. This can be caused by various factors, such as power outages or possibly a sensor/control board malfunction.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the EL01 error code:
- Power cycle the heat pump: Turn off the power to the heat pump by switching off the circuit breaker or disconnecting the power supply. Wait for a few minutes, then restore power. This can sometimes reset the system and clear temporary communication issues.
